The Guernsey Sailing Trust was founded in 1988 to enable local children, from all walks of life whether able bodied or disabled to experience the enjoyment and challenges of dinghy sailing. Since its inception, the Trust has grown considerably and now owns a 16 metre sail training vessel Gemervescence.
The Trust offers voyages of up to 5 days around the challenging waters of the Channel Islands, as well as Normandy and Brittany coasts. During these voyages trainees have the opportunity to gain their RYA Competent Crew and Watch Leaders certificates. The Trust also has RYA Sailability foundation status and is able to accommodate trainees with certain disabilities.
