The UK Sail Training fleet is made up of a diverse range of vessels, from large square rigged ships to powerful round-the-world yachts. So whatever your dream is, you are sure to find a vessel that fits the bill. The common link between all these vessels is that the focus is on you. As part of a team, yo u actively take part in almost every aspect of the running the vessel, be it setting sails, steering, watch keeping or cooking, you and your team have an important role to play. Helped by the professional crew, you will discover new skills and meet the challenge of the sea.
No experience is necessary as each vessel has a team of people there to help you every step of the way.
With over 50 vessels in the UK Sail Training fleet, there is opportunity and adventure for all.
Although teaching people to sail is not the primary aim of today's UK Sail Training vessels, many do run RYA Courses during their voyages to help trainees gain their RYA Competent Crew and Watch Leader certificates. The voyages may also be used for the Residential section of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
