The project is a new Community Interest Company based in Plymouth and provides voyages on a 57ft Sail Training ketch for young people aged 15 - 25 who live in the South West of England. The Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) requires with immediate effect a full time watch keeping Bosun to sail onboard its barques LORD NELSON and TENACIOUS. The vessels operate in NW European waters during the UK Spring/Summer months and Canary Islands/Caribbean in Winter months. As a watch keeping deck officer, the minimum qualification is STCW 95 Officer of the Watch (Yacht). Please do not apply if you do not posses this as a minimum. Non-UK certificate holders must also have a Certificate of Equivalent Competency. Sail training experience, ideally in square rig is preferred. |

Ocean Youth Trust South's vessel John Laing will undergo a substantial refit betweeen November 2010 and March 2011. Two or more volunteers are needed to join the team for a minimum of one month during this period - ideally for the full four and a half months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone planning a gap year or career break, or looking to move into the Sail Training industry.
